Nowruz and Yalda at Molavi: Traditions Kept Alive in the Complex

Nowruz and Yalda Night are among the most deeply rooted Iranian traditions, each celebrating, in its own way, the bond between people, nature, family, and hope. At the Sar-e Qabr Agha complex, these two occasions become the occasion for cultural programs — from setting a haft-sin spread inspired by the Qajar atmosphere to Yalda gatherings filled with poetry readings, traditional music, and seasonal treats. Taking part in such events inside a building nearly 130 years old lends these familiar traditions a distinct atmosphere, as if time turns back for a few hours. These programs are also a chance for the younger generation to connect with the roots of these celebrations, beyond what remains of them in today's urban life.
