Iranian handicrafts — from pottery and metal engraving to khatam marquetry and carpet weaving — are more than mere goods; they tell the story of the culture and way of life of people who have learned and passed down these skills generation after generation. In the Molavi district and its surrounding bazaars, artisans have always been at work, turning raw materials into lasting works of art with their own hands. The handicraft stalls of the Sar-e Qabr Agha complex are an effort to keep alive this very bond between artisan, material, and audience, in a setting that is itself a relic of that same era. Every handmade piece that leaves these stalls carries with it a small part of this cultural chain.
