Live Calligraphy Demonstration

In this program, one of the complex's calligraphers demonstrates the art of nastaliq script live at the miniature painting & calligraphy stall. Visitors watch up close as the reed pen, ink, and paper are prepared, and see a verse of Persian poetry take shape under the artist's hand. At the end of each session, there's a short window for interested visitors to try a few letters themselves under the calligrapher's guidance. It's especially suited to anyone who wants to get to know calligraphy up close rather than from a distance. Space in the hands-on portion is limited.
